Ukraine has presented a vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt) to the UNWTO Museum of National Costumes

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), with the aim of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of countries worldwide, has decided to establish a Museum of National Costumes. The museum will be located in Uzbekistan, in the city of Samarkand, which is hosting the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly this year.

The Ukrainian delegation, led by the Head of the State Agency for Tourism Development, Mariana Oleskiv, presented a vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt), representing the Ukrainian brand of ethnic clothing, ETNODIM, to the newly established museum.

"This beautiful shirt is a replica from the ancient Pokuttia region, located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. This area is known for its unique culture and traditions. From now on, a part of Ukrainian national culture will be securely preserved in the UN museum," stated the head of the State Agency for Tourism Development.

It's worth noting that Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), initiated the creation of a working group to support tourism and the economy of Ukraine.
