The establishment of hotel categories is carried out in accordance with the Procedure for Establishing Categories for Hotels and Other Facilities Intended for the Provision of Temporary Accommodation (Residence) Services, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on July 29, 2009, No. 803.

Review by the categorization commission - 14 days from the date of receiving materials from the certification body.

The issuance of a hotel category certificate is free of charge.

The certificate establishing the hotel category is provided by the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.

The service provision period: is 14 days from the date of receipt from the accredited certification body for certification of temporary accommodation (residence) services.

The result of providing the service: is the issuance of a Certificate of Hotel Category Establishment by the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.

Ways to obtain the result: It can be obtained through the following methods: 1) In person. You can visit the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine in person to receive the certificate;
2) By mail. The certificate can be sent to you by mail or courier service, provided that you make arrangements for delivery;
3) Digital format. It's possible to receive the certificate in electronic format, such as a PDF file, via email or through an online platform if such a service is available.

The applicant provided false or incomplete information.
According to the provided information, it is impossible to determine compliance with the requirements, namely: SSU 4269: "Tourism services. Hotel classification," SSU 4094-2002 "Hairdressing services. General requirements," SSU 4268:2003 "Tourism services. Accommodation facilities. General requirements," SBN V.2.2-9 "Buildings and structures. Public buildings and structures. Basic provisions," SSU 4281:2004 "Classification of catering establishments."

Disputes arising during the establishment of hotel categories are reviewed by an Appeals Commission.
An appeal application is submitted to the Appeals Commission only if there is a relevant decision of the Commission on the establishment of categories.
The appeal application must be submitted in writing to the address of the State Agency for Tourism Development (SATD) personally by the applicant no later than 10 days from the date of receipt of the Commission's decision on the establishment of categories for such a hotel. The appeal application should include materials (documents, informational materials, photos, etc.) intended to explain the applicant's position as stated in the appeal application.
The date of registration with the State Agency for Tourism Development (SATD) is considered the day of submission of the appeal application.
The commission reviews the appeal application within 14 days from the day following its receipt.
A repeated appeal application from the same applicant on the same issue regarding the same hotel will not be subject to consideration if the previous application has been reviewed, and a corresponding decision has been made.
Following the review of the appeal application, the Commission makes a decision either to satisfy or deny the appeal. Information regarding the decision is communicated by SATD to the applicant and the certification body through the delivery of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within a period not exceeding 5 days from the date of such decision.
The decision of the Commission can be challenged by the applicant in a judicial procedure in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
